Like the halo of saint

Like the halo of a saint the sun sinks, epic ride tonight, at one with machine, in the zone blah blah, love the shovel like one of kids, and have seen more of it this week then Mrs A, the recent hot weather is just what we need before it closes in for winter, before we bed into the shed for some winter fun, the parts are in a pile waiting for the cold weather.

PS dont forget to clean your face when you get back its dirty out there!

Sunday 25 September 2011

Knocked on Gordies door and 20 minutes later we're on our way to Ashbourne, not liking the grey clouds we change the plan and hang a right towards the Bath, the sun shines as we park up next to the BSA plunger, sans front mud guard gives it that true bobber look, may be the owner took it off to give this effect, may it fell off. Two teas later and we are on our way back.

shovel

I was speaking with Scott White and I mentioned that I was stuck getting started on the shovel, he told me a set my desktop the problem, by this he means stick a picture on your PC, this gives your mind a chance to focus when youre between jobs, well it worked, I'm at WDC tonight and within an hour, I solved the front wheel problem and the steering stops. This is the picture I used, I was so pleased I throw the lads out and jumped on the shovel for some night time lane splitting

Cafe racer BMW

I need to test myself, after dangerous rock and rolled the BMW thro the bends, the memories flood back, riding all those miles with Tim, two BMs. Seeing "shaun" the man who set us off, I just had to try and kick the 650, no go, and the test was over, I'm not going back or forward, my BM days are over, then again?

Ed

Hi Ed thanks for the tip, I didnt work, Ive even been locked out my own blog, think I may have got to the bottom of it now.

Last?

Last chance, don't believe there is such a thing, last chances are for sleepers, not us, it all came together at MFN the old and the new, meeting up chatting, tea, laughing, the rock and blues grodie story going down a storm with Steve and Ben. The 100 year old 500cc TT Indian was a clock makers dream, built to race, a work of art with its black and white tyres

Ben's straw blue pipes reaching the same colour at the same time, just proves that the motor is set up, I've got a lot of time for Ben, I'll look forward to his firm but gentle hand next month.

Leaving MFN with dangerous taking pole, everyone tucked in behind like a flock of geese heading south for the winter, we soon hit the rain heavy rain, at Belper Ben, Steve and co split home while we go on and into the sun finally come to rest at Darley where we actively engage with the classic boys, another brew and home. A most excellent day, another page turns.

Last rays ride

I tell my boss I'm leaving early, have a great weekend he replies, off to the merchants to sort some kit out for the weekend then dial gordie in "get your gear on we're off" 2 hours later we finish off with a brew in the bath, curve round to Tim's (walking the dogs again, laters mate), get wet, off to the pub 2 pints and all the family, quick chat with period scooter boys, home to the lads xbox

Comments

How strange I'd given up trying to put comments on other peoples blogs, for some strange reason, even when logged in I just got stuck in a loop, and then I get two comments appear on my blog, so just to prove that I read my them,

Ed - I have any number of desires, but 10 is a great number, a few years ago when me and Tim used to ride to Kent custom show there was this killer Germany softail called "My One Desire", then I see this net picture of a shovel with the same bonnie tank on, hence the play on words. There was also this Germany with a BMW outfit called Wolf, who we spent the whole afternoon with and got completely faced!

Tim - ring me you bastard :-)

When in France

We spent a few days walking the Nantes to Brest Canal. Napoleon built the canal when we blockaded Brest in the 1800s. Wine, cheese and dragonflies the later filled my evening with sketches for future sessions at Bens. While out walking this weekend back in England I came across this card
