Pimp my shovel

I thought I'd pimp the shovel for Kevs party, had it all worked out, started by checking the bike over and the first thing I find is the rear guard CRACKED bollocks spend rest of the night making another mud guard fit.

If you don't get a smile its the longest day

The smell of petrol was a bit too much for Damon (gear head of WDC), this what we have health and safety for

Is it worth repairing?

Is it worth repairing? you wouldn't throw away the wheel if you had a puncture, would you throw away a throttle cable if it broke? its not about how technically difficult it is, its if you can sleep at night!

Causality. Action, reaction. Cause, effect.

Oil level low, top up, stress on oil tank which breaks bracket, causing kink in breather, pressure build in crank case, front base gasket leaks, oil runs down to rectifier plug, cause plug to swell and push out, no charging, battery goes flat, shovel dies.......when I pull into drive....lucky bastard.

Let me back in

Been locked out the blog for best part of a week, which is pretty bad since Tim teased me with a shovel with apes comments, all I can say is "its so last year" its all about 80's slabs and drags this year fashion fashion fashion

Teamed up with homeboy nick at the NCC show at the top of the peaks, me and gordie rode up in winter gear and I paid to get and for the teas well it is fathers day and he didnt offer.

We've known nick for years and have the greatest of respect for the top bloke, he has the guzzi running and so we promised to meet up for an over nighter, which is long over due.

Crakcing bikes and great conversation loads of chopper lads, all friendy

15V dont seem right but the guzzi does

Just taken a break from writing a presentation for my boss, I like doing it because I know that he'll put it across really well. But 15V dont seem right, I have had some problems with batteries so a call to Dr French fills me in on the details, speeding up the M1 I see a chop? pull into the services, I cross 3 lanes and follow it in to find a punk rock guzzi, its a bitch to ride he say " No pain no gain". Clean up the reg/rec and its sort..owe you a beer Dr French!

Bondage

I'm please with this set up, I bolted it the angle block on my surface plate as a mock up, just got to hold the lens in place. I made the light years ago and ran it on the pre-unit, its a push bike chrome shell with a marker light lens, I'm going to wire the lens in for that bondage look

Neat holes?

Today was a Dice day, well an afternoon spent sipping tea and scanning thro old Dice. Not looking to copy, looking for a trigger, something to send me into the shed. I got a two hours on the shovel this morning and came back so cold I went in the bath. I pick a handful of the shelf(not in any order) I was inspired, not to write a poem but triggered to bulit a number bracket, I like them side mounted to clean the rear up. What I started buliding was nothing like the one on the Hidemoto shovel and thats the point. I had a broken adjustable which I bent at 90 and chopped the end off leaving the hole to mount to the frame. I liked the writing but wanted to drill some holes to lighten up a bit. Now to choose where to drill......symetrical? no not me!

Off balance

I think I do quite well at balancing it all, work, kids, Mrs A and bikes. With Bike there is riding and building. Now the Wednesday club has certainly built some stuff, both parts and bikes, but that night is as much about tea as it is about hacksaws, I was talking to Scott White the other day, now he never actually tells you anything, he makes you find it in yourself. The conclusion of our conversation was that its not work time, kids time, Mrs A time and bike time, its just life and better use it well because you dont get another.

Best laid plans

sometimes go tits up, if everything had gone to plan the shovel would have a look a bit like this, short shocks, pan swing arm 21 front and shorten forks. In realty it looks the same last year which is a bitch, lesson learned.
